ABOUT US Introduction   Lubritex is involved in lubricants blending and marketing and drum and plastic bottle manufacturing operations in the Free Zone of the Port of Aden, Republic of Yemen.     Lube Oil Blending Plant (LOBP)   Lubritex has constructed a LOBP with a capacity of 40,000 MT/p.a Capacity that can easily be expanded to 60,000 MT/p.a. or more as and when it may be necessary. The LOBP is designed with the latest technology (including SMB) to maximize blending flexibility in respect of product volumes and types. This new lubricants blending plant is ideally situated to serve the large inland Yemeni market (some 70,000 M/Tons p.a.), international marine trade (where lubes supply is an important and necessary complement to marine bunker acilities) and fast-growing export markets in East and Central Africa, the subcontinent and elsewhere.     Currently, the inland market is dominated by four international majors - Shell, Mobil, Caltex and BP. However, none of these companies have their own blending facilities in Yemen (although Shell and Mobil have a small equity participation in a local plant in Taiz). Lubritex therefore has a significant competitive advantage with its Aden facilities and manufactures a full range of automotive lubricants under a toll blending arrangement for ‘Panther Lubricants’. Toll blending arrangements for other lubes marketers, including major international companies, is also part of Lubritex’s overall lubes strategy.
